Rafting and River-related Links

Below are a select few links related to whitewater rafting that I've found to be particularly interesting:

  • Brian Vogt is friend, fellow rafter and also an avid inflatable kayaker. He and his buds get into some amazing canyons. Each of these links lead to collections of trips that Brian has taken. Check out the Crooked River the Verde River or Ohanapecosh or South Fork of the Salmon.

  • Check out River Geek, a site full of useful river-related information. This is pretty much the go-to site for float permit links. It also has links to many other river rafting sites, and information on another of my favorite river activities, fly fishing!

  • Matt Leidecker is a rafter and river guide. Matt has the artistic eye that I wish I had. I really admire his photos of rivers and canyons.

  • David Chauvin has taken some great shots of the Owyhee, a river in eastern Oregon that I have not yet covered elsewhere in Rafting the West. You can check out his work here.

  • Of course, I need to mention my other website, Whitewater Rafting Campsites.

  • And check out RiverMaps for some of the best guidebooks available.
