The Rogue River

The Rogue was one of the first rivers in the nation to achieve the Wild and Scenic designation and remains one of the premier rafting trip rivers in the west. The Rogue slices directly west through the Coast Range of Oregon, offering lots of rapids and great campsites in its rocky canyon. Blossom Bar, the signature rapid on the Rogue prevents jet boats from reaching the upper sections, leaving rafting groups to themselves. Below Blossom Bar, the current slackens as the Rogue begins to tail off across the flatter topography to eventually join the Pacific at Gold Beach.
